Quality assurance assistant — City of Hampton

Immediate opening: we are hiring a quality assurance assistant in City of Hampton, Virginia. Day to day you will log batch numbers, lot codes and traceability data; measure finished parts with vernier callipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges; check visually for scratches, dents, burrs and colour variation; record measurements on inspection sheets and SPC charts; carry out first-article and in-process checks on the production line. Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols • Prior experience as a QC inspector in manufacturing • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
