Now hiring: we are hiring a safety officer in Douglas County, Illinois. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. Ideal candidate: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot You will audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
