Now hiring: GTAW welder (Pennsylvania)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a GTAW welder in McKean County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
