Great opportunity: retail butcher (Michigan)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a retail butcher in Marquette County, Michigan. You will be based at a halal meat counter. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required The role involves stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone.
