Occupational health and safety officer • Wayne County, Michigan

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Wayne County, Michigan. You will work in a chemical processing unit. The role involves investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates.
