Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Day to day you will lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Ideal candidate: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
