Great opportunity: pressman (Wisconsin)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pressman in Marathon County, Wisconsin. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Your main tasks: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Give each garment a final press before packing • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics Six days a week, one day off.
