Fabricator-welder wanted in Sumter County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Sumter County, South Carolina. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard The role involves: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing 4+ years on the tools preferred.
