Immediate opening: we are hiring a maintenance electrician in Borough of Stockport, England. Day-to-day duties: • Crimp lugs and terminate armoured cable glands • Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams • Carry out preventive maintenance on switchgear and busbars • Check earth continuity and earth pit resistance • Install and connect MCBs, RCBOs and isolators in the DB • Test insulation resistance with a megger Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on ladders and scaffolds • Valid wireman/electrical licence as required by the state • Able to read single-line and wiring diagrams 6+ years on the tools preferred.
