Join our team: we are hiring a precision welder in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection On a typical shift you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
