Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Saline County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work On the job you will handle: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $170 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
