Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Nottingham, England. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height The role involves set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
