Great opportunity: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in West Berkshire, England. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory The role involves: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
