Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick mason in Shelby County, Missouri. The role involves: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools 5+ years on the tools preferred.
