Safety officer — Wheeler County

You should have: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations The role involves: • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry 4+ years on the tools preferred.
