Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Pulaski County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination On the job you will handle: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
