Overlocker operator — Comanche County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Comanche County, Kansas. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Day to day you will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line. We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
