Vacancy available: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Stevens County, Washington. The job is at a textile finishing unit. What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Day-to-day duties: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron Full-time with occasional weekends. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
