Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bricklayer in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska. You will work at a renovation and extension job. On the job you will handle: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
