You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine The role involves: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
