Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Santa Clara County, California. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols 1+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
