Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete placer in McIntosh County, Georgia. Day-to-day duties: • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade Requirements: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
