Rebar fixer — Jefferson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Jefferson County, Illinois. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings. You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Six days a week, one day off.
