Now hiring: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Sedgwick County, Kansas. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. On a typical shift you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
