Now hiring: we are hiring a LGV Class 1 driver in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. The role involves report defects and book the unit in for servicing; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; top up AdBlue and refuel at scheduled stops; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips 6+ years on the tools preferred.
