Gas metal arc welder • Iredell County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Iredell County, North Carolina. You will work on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Day-to-day duties: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols Pay around $3,800 per month, based on your experience.
