The role involves feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair; buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes • Attention to detail and a clean, even finish $170 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
