Flatlock machine operator — Sierra County

Join our team: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Sierra County, New Mexico. Day to day you will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. $28 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
