The role involves: • Score the top of loaves before baking • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity What we are looking for: • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Accurate at weighing and following recipes Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
