Shakeout operator — Lafayette County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Lafayette County, Arkansas. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
