What we are looking for: • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine Day-to-day duties: • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
