We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in East Carroll Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety You will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
