Foundry operative — Long County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Long County, Georgia. You will be based on the moulding line. On the job you will handle: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
