Great opportunity: we are hiring a meat cutter in Audubon County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Season and marinate meat on request • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone Ideal candidate: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
