Argon arc welder wanted in City of Salem

Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in City of Salem, Virginia. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On a typical shift you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel. You should have: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Part-time with flexible hours.
