Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Nobles County, Minnesota. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
