Great opportunity: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. On the job you will handle: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens 2+ years on the tools preferred.
