Aluminium TIG welder • Herkimer County, New York

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Herkimer County, New York. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
