Wood machinist — Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region

Join our team: we are hiring a wood machinist in Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based on a commercial fit-out site. Day to day you will read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together. Requirements: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • Own basic hand tools • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work 6+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
