Bar bender and fixer • Ontario County, New York

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Ontario County, New York. What we are looking for: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing On a typical shift you will tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
