Immediate opening: we are hiring a plant operator in Washington County, Illinois. The job is on a production line. Ideal candidate: • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts On a typical shift you will key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature; carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter; segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches; monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift; record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
