Gas metal arc welder • Richland Parish, Louisiana

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Richland Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves: • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
