Now hiring: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Ndokwa East, Delta State. Your main tasks: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 4+ years on the tools preferred.
