Wood machinist wanted in Piscataquis County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a wood machinist in Piscataquis County, Maine. You will be based at a shopfitting company. What we are looking for: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Your main tasks: • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
