Ladle pourer • Anne Arundel County, Maryland

Join our team: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. You will be based on the moulding line. Your main tasks: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Six days a week, one day off.
