Heavy equipment operator • Boone County, Iowa

Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Boone County, Iowa. The role involves stockpile and spread material to the required levels; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; check for underground cables and services before digging. Requirements: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance Full-time with occasional weekends.
