Motor grader operator • Nome Census Area, Alaska

Immediate opening: we are hiring a motor grader operator in Nome Census Area, Alaska. The job is in an open-cast mine. Your main tasks: • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects You should have: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Understanding of safe digging near underground services 3+ years on the tools preferred.
