Ladle pourer • Ards and North Down, Northern Ireland

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Ards and North Down, Northern Ireland. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Pay around £17 per hour, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
