Mason's helper • Charles County, Maryland

Immediate opening: we are hiring a mason's helper in Charles County, Maryland. You will be based on a road and bridge project. Day to day you will fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage Full-time with occasional weekends.
