Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Dare County, North Carolina. The role involves maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture.
